In this paper an edge fed planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) for LTE high band applications. The proposed antenna covers wider bandwidth from 2.78GHz to 3.94 GHz. Edge feed mechanism is used in the proposed structure by which wider bandwidth is achieved. The dimension of patch is 14×16mm2 and of ground plane is 36×16mm2. The dimension of patch, shorting plate, feeding plate are optimized using CST software to get optimum results and is presented in this paper. As this antenna is very compact in profile, has good performance, low cost and light weight, due to all these advantages it is suitable and can be easily incorporated as an internal antenna in mobile phones and in other portable device. Keywords

A novel compact microstrip Band Pass Filter comprising Hewlett-Packard logo shaped patch is proposed in this paper. The filter structure is able to achieve 2.4 GHz central frequency which can be used for Wireless fidelity (WLAN) and the short range devices such as Bluetooth applications. The simulation is performed on CST Microwave Studio. The dielectric substrate used is FR-4 with thickness 1.6 mm. The structure shows good return loss and filter characteristics. Keywords

Objectives: In this paper, a discussion of different types rectennas (antenna + rectifier) which is used for different type of RF energy harvesting ambient signals and storage system. Methods/Statistical Analysis: RF energy can be harvested in the ISM unlicensed band from various ambient source in particular from mobile radio transmitters, Wi-Fi networks, wireless devices (laptops). The RF energy is captured using antenna preferable patch antenna. The received signal is converted into DC voltage using a impedance matching circuit and a voltage multiplier. Received output voltage is enhanced using various methods in order to make it sufficient to charge low power devices. Findings: After the literature review it has been observed that antenna designed to harvest RF energy should have high efficiency, gain and impedance matching with rectifier circuit. Applications: Rectennas find their application in Sensor networks, small wireless devices which needs power which should be portable.References
